Wardrobe Wednesday: Warming up.

A secret little goal I have is to get WAY better at this whole thing. This is the last time I'll say it, but I just feel so dang awkward posing with a self-timer, so being photographed by someone else is kind of a scary thing. Face your fears, right? I'd like to think I'm getting a little better.

Outfit details:
Headband: handmade
Dress: thrifted, vintage
Belt: From another dress
Shoes that you cannot see: Kohl's

Looking at that last picture, it looks as if there is a leaf on my head but I promise it's just the chair. I also really need an eyebrow styling if that's such a thing. I've been noticing other people's eyebrows a lot recently. Maybe that's weird, but I just really want nice eyebrows! Anyway, I think this dress is like my favorite vintage find ever. It's a little on the short side but perfect with tights. It fits so nicely and makes me wanna spin in circles. :) Happy Wednesday!

  1. Wow, I love your hair! It's such a great style and looks awesome with the little bow in it. It's kind of how I would like mine to be one day, but I have such a round face I am afraid of short hair.

    1. Thank you! I've been getting compliments lately which always surprises me- I shaved my head a little over a year ago and I just consider this a grown out mullet! Haha. Don't be scared of short hair! I'm a licensed hair stylist and I'll tell you that it's not hard to pull off. Side swept bangs always soften a round face shape, and look at Ginnifer Goodwin. She's gorgeous, round-faced, and has a pixie cut!

  2. Oh I love that dress! And your hair band! And I HATE when things end up creating silly shapes in the background. Or sometimes the light catches funny and one of my eyes is bright and the other is dark and I look kind of crazy! It's always an adventure to figure out posing - I feel like it's one of the few things where practice really does make it work - I spend months looking stiff or angry! I figured out finally that this one face I made where I really always FELT like it was whimsical or something just looked blank and angry!

    1. Haha! I know EXACTLY what you mean! It definitely takes practice, and I'm finally feeling better when taking pictures alone (albeit still looking stiff half of the time). I'd say you've perfected the posing and non-angry looking faces!
